Chief Program & Engagement Officer, High Line

Mauricio Garcia is the Chief Program & Engagement Officer at the High Line, where he oversees its place-based initiatives, including art, community engagement, youth development and education, and the High Line Network.

For over 15 years, Mauricio has been committed to strengthening our communities and striving for social and economic justice. He has led a network of municipal leaders at Cities of Service; workforce development programming at Seedco; financial empowerment services at Change Machine; and a national AmeriCorps program at LISC.

Mauricio has an MPA from CUNY’s Baruch College and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Oakland University. He serves on the board of Teens for Food Justice and is an alumnus of Coro Leadership New York.
